New preprint: SELFDOUBT: Uncertainty Quantification for Reasoning LLMs via the Hedge-to-Verify Ratio. We introduce the Hedge-to-Verify Ratio (HVR), a single-pass uncertainty signal for reasoning LLMs that outperforms Semantic Entropy at about 10x lower inference cost.
